Communicationes CORDOBA-SPAIN (13-05-2012).- More than 7.000 faithful packed the Cathedral in Cordoba yesterday for the canonical coronation of the statue of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It was an expression of heartfelt recognition of over 4 centuries of devotion to this statue that has such close links to the Carmelite Order, it being believed that it was brought to Cordoba by St. John of the Cross.
Communicationes LOS ANDES-CHILE (08-05-2012).- 19 Discalced Carmelites, hailing from all the Circumscriptions of Latin America, with the exception of Argentina, took part in this meeting for Formators. Communicationes ADRO-ITALY (29-04-2012).- On 21 April our Carmelite monastery of Adro (Brescia, Italy), nestling in the shadows of the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, celebrated the centenary of its foundation. Its intimate link with the Shrine led to the friars being locally called “Brothers of Our Lady of the Snows”.
Communicationes ÁVILA-SPAIN (28-04-2012).- The Fourth Iberian Congress of the Secular Carmel began In the evening hours today. It will be celebrated in Ávila through next Tuesday, May 1, and brings together more than 150 participants.
Secular Carmelites, provincial delegates, and assistants from all over Spain and Portugal are meeting in the International Teresian-Sanjuanista Center of Avila (CITeS).
